Working for You to Keep Surrey Safe

Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey, Lisa Townsend, is working hard to keep our county safe and listen to residents across Surrey.

Since Lisa was elected just 3 years ago, we now have more police officers in Surrey than ever before, keeping our communities safe and pursuing offenders.

With her team, Lisa has also secured more than £10m worth of additional funding to support projects and initiatives across our county to cut crime and anti-social behaviour.

Thanks to Lisa’s commitment to listening to residents and acting on their concerns, Surrey Police is taking a “back to basics” approach to policing, cutting crime and prioritising what matters to you, our residents.

As Police and Crime Commissioner, Lisa is delivering for Surrey residents and communities, from hiring a new Chief Constable for the county who shares her commitment to delivering for residents and pursuing offenders, to helping roll out national changes in policing such as Right Care, Right Person.

She has also worked closely with the government on their national crackdown on antisocial behaviour, including the banning of NOS (nitrous oxide) canisters. Lisa recently welcomed the news that another £1million of funding is coming to Surrey to help tackle crime and anti-social behaviour with a “hotspot” policing approach in locations across Surrey.

Having made excellent progress, Lisa knows there is still work to be done, and if re-elected on 2nd May she has committed to:

  • Ensuring Surrey Police do what only they can, investigating and solving crime, and pursuing offenders, not sitting in hospitals, or examining non-crime hate incidents.
  • Being a voice for victims, prioritising victims needs throughout the Criminal Justice System, continuing to commission and support services that support victims.
  • Making policing accessible, ensuring residents get swift answers from the right organisation, rather than being passed from agency to agency without resolution.

If you support our police and want to keep our county safe, please vote for Lisa Townsend on 2nd May, so she can continue working hard and delivering for residents as our Police and Crime Commissioner.
