Surrey Police and Crime Commissioner, Lisa Townsend, and Member of Parliament for Guildford, Angela Richardson, have been working together to help keep Guildford residents safe and tackle violence against women and girls across the borough.
Following confirmation of her proposed council tax increase yesterday (Friday 2nd February 2024), Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey, Lisa Townsend, has thanked residents for their engagement, support, and views in completing her countywide survey on the topic.
On Sunday 11th June, the Amber Foundation are hosting Hike the Hill to raise funds for their work transforming young people’s lives. Walking a 10km route through the Surrey Hills, participants will climb to the top of Leith Hill, the highest point in Surrey at 294m above sea level.
The event will help raise funds for Amber’s work and will support bed spaces at their Farm Place site in Ockley. This location enables young people to transform their life with Amber’s support and takes them away from living on the street.
